LAYOFFS, RECALL AND BUMPING. 11.01 Definition‌ Consistent with the following Articles, a layoff shall be defined as the loss by a regular employee of the opportunity to work in the position he/she currently occupies as a result of either: (i) the elimination of such position, or (ii) any reduction in working hours for a regular full-time employee, or (iii) the permanent reduction of the working hours in their position in excess of one (1) hour per day for a regular part-time or regular seasonal employee, or (iv) the reduction in the rate of pay (pay grade) in the position as a result of a re- evaluation of the position.
