LEAVE APPLICATION. 39.1 An Employee shall, where possible, apply and receive prior authorization by the Department Head or designate for all leave, failing which an Employee shall be considered absent without permission. 39.2 The University may grant special leave with or without pay for such period as it deems the circumstances warrant.
