Leave Conversion. For purposes of this agreement, whenever an employee is transferred from a 40-hour average workweek to a 53-hour average workweek, or back, their accumulated leave will be adjusted using the following formula:
Leave Conversion. The receiving employee will be paid his or her regular rate of pay; therefore, one (1) hour of shared leave may cover more or less than one (1) hour of the recipient’s salary. The dollar value of the leave is converted from the donor to the recipient. Unused shared leave will be credited back to the donor at the donor’s rate of pay.
Leave Conversion. Employees moved from a Response shift to a Day, or from a Day shift to a Response shift, shall have all accrued leave converted as follows:
Leave Conversion. Should an Employee on paid vacation suffer a disability or illness which requires confinement in a hospital or confinement at home under the care of a physician, they may apply in writing for sick leave to begin the day following confinement. Written certification from the attending physician will be required. Vacation pay and sick leave shall not be paid for the same period of time.
Leave Conversion. On January 1 of each year, an employee may convert up to a maximum of 30 hours accumulated sick leave at fifty percent (50%) cash value for the sole purpose of reimbursing the employee for medical costs. This conversion is subject to the following:
1. Only employees who have served a minimum of two (2) full-time continuous years of service shall be eligible.
2. Reimbursement shall be made only for medical and hospital costs not otherwise covered by the City’s medical insurance plan which are incurred by the employee and any of his or her dependents covered by the City’s medical insurance program. Reimbursement shall not be made for any dental or medical costs not eligible for coverage by the City’s medical insurance plan.
3. An employee is not eligible for this conversion policy unless he or she has in excess of 96 accumulated sick leave hours on the books as of the date of the conversion; no employee may convert accumulated sick leave hours so as to drop his or her total accumulated hours below 96 hours as of January 1 of each year.
4. An employee’s request for reimbursement will not be considered other than during the month of January.
5. Part-time employees, upon completion of two (2) continuous years of service, shall be allowed to convert sick leave in a pro rata manner.

Leave Conversion. On exceptional and compassionate grounds employees may make an application in accordance with Yarra Trams leave conversion procedure as contained in Yarra Trams policies, as amended from time to time.
Leave Conversion. Commencing July 1, 1997, sick leave accrual will be convertible on the basis that any unused sick leave accrued in any given year can be converted to vacation on a ratio of two sick hours for one hour of vacation.

Eleven and ten month administrative assistants who use no personal leave during the period of July 1 through June 30 of any one contract year period shall receive a bonus of $150.00 (yearly). Eleven and ten month administrative assistants who use no more than two (2) days of sick leave during the period of July 1 through June 30 of any one contract year shall receive a bonus of $150.00 for each of the following periods during which no sick leave days are used. July 1 November 30 December 1 February 28 March 1 June 30 Twelve month secretaries who use no personal leave during the period of July 1 through June 30 of any one contract year period shall receive a bonus of $160.00 (yearly). Twelve month secretaries who use no more than two (2) days of sick leave during the period of July 1 through June 30 of any one contract year shall receive a bonus of $160.00 for each of the following periods during which no sick leave days are used. July 1 September 30 October 1 December 31 January 1 March 31 April 1 June 30 Said bonus shall be paid by July 31, of the year earned.
