Common use of Leave for Full-Time Union or Public Duties Clause in Contracts

Leave for Full-Time Union or Public Duties. Any employee who is elected or selected to any position with the Union or any body with which the Union is affiliated, or any employee who is elected to any public body, shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for a period of up to one (1) year and such leave shall be renewed each year upon request. Such leaves of absence shall not affect an employee’s seniority.
