Common use of Letting us know Clause in Contracts

Letting us know. You need to give us written notice if you are intending to take Parental Leave within the following t imeframes: 10 weeks prior to leave commencement date – first notice 4 weeks prior to leave commencement date – second notice These notice requirements don't apply to Special Paid Maternit y Leave. If you are pregnant, t he period of leave may start up to 6 weeks before t he expected date of birth of t he child but must not start later than t he date of birth of t he child. If your spouse or de facto part ner is pregnant, t he period of leave may start at any t ime within 12 mont hs after t he date of birth of t he child provided that you become t he primary care giver. If you are unwell during your pregnancy, and need to take leave earlier than expected, you may access your Personal Leave. Personal Leave may only be applied up to t he commencement of your Parental Leave and a medical cert ificate may need to be provided. If you are eligible for Paid Parental Leave you can choose to receive eit her 18 weeks Paid Parental Leave (make- up pay) or 9 weeks Paid Parental Leave (non- make- up pay).
