Liabilities to Third Parties Clause Samples

The 'Liabilities to Third Parties' clause defines how responsibility for damages, losses, or claims made by individuals or entities not party to the contract is allocated between the contracting parties. Typically, this clause outlines which party will bear the cost or defend against third-party claims arising from the performance of the contract, such as if a subcontractor causes injury to a bystander or damages property. Its core function is to clarify and allocate risk related to third-party actions or claims, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring that each party understands their obligations regarding external liabilities.
