Liability for Delay Clause Samples

The 'Liability for Delay' clause defines the responsibilities and consequences for a party if they fail to meet agreed-upon deadlines or schedules in a contract. Typically, this clause outlines what constitutes a delay, the process for notifying the other party, and the types of damages or penalties that may be imposed, such as liquidated damages or compensation for losses caused by the delay. Its core function is to allocate risk and incentivize timely performance, ensuring that all parties are aware of the repercussions of not meeting contractual timelines.
