Common use of Liens and Assessments Clause in Contracts

Liens and Assessments. In the event Developer fails to comply with any ofthe provisions ofthis Agreement, the City shall be authorized to cease issuance of any further Certificates of Occupancy or Building Permits on property owned by Developer, and the City shall be further authorized to file this instrument in the Mechanic's Lien records ofHood County as a Mechanic's Lien against Developer's property; and, in the alternative, the City shall be authorized to levy an assessment against Developer's property for any improvements made by the City in accordance with applicable statelaw.
