Lifestyle and Values. 4.1.2.1 The parties acknowledge that: a) the School bases its teachings and beliefs on the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments which the School regards as the inspired and inerrant Word of God. b) All employees of the School are required to be seen to conduct themselves in the course of, or in connection with their work, in a manner consistent with these teachings and beliefs and in accordance with the Christian ethos of the School, as described in Appendix A – Vision, Statement of Faith, and Core Values, thus providing a specifically Christian role model and example to all students and families associated with the School. c) It is an inherent, genuine occupational requirement that all employees of the School must not act in a way that they know, or ought reasonably to know, is contrary to the religious beliefs of the School, as described in Appendix A to this Agreement. Nothing in their deliberate conduct shall be incompatible with the intrinsic character of their position. d) Should an employee act contrary to the lifestyle requirements set out in this clause and Appendix A, the matter will be dealt with in accordance with the normal School procedures in relation to performance management. e) If a dispute arises in conjunction with this clause, it shall be dealt with in accordance with clause 3.2 – Disputes and Grievances.
