Limitations on Interest Rates Clause Samples

The Limitations on Interest Rates clause sets a maximum allowable interest rate that can be charged under an agreement. In practice, this clause ensures that any interest charged does not exceed the legal or contractually agreed-upon cap, which may be based on statutory usury limits or a mutually determined rate. By establishing clear boundaries for interest charges, this clause protects parties from excessive or unlawful interest rates, thereby reducing the risk of legal disputes and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
