Employees shall have one (1) year from the date of assignment in order to complete the remaining certifications in accordance with Operational Procedure I-19. Failure to complete all four (4) certifications at the end of one (1) year period shall be grounds for removal from Special Operations Assignment. Employees assigned to the Aviation Battalion, except ARFF Captains, who are ARFF qualified, in accordance with the Letter of Understanding defining the certification process, shall receive assignment pay.
