LOCAL COMMUNITIES Sample Clauses

The "Local Communities" clause establishes the obligations and commitments of the parties regarding engagement with and impact on local populations affected by the agreement or project. It typically outlines requirements for consultation, benefit-sharing, or mitigation of negative effects on these communities, such as providing employment opportunities, supporting local infrastructure, or respecting cultural practices. The core function of this clause is to ensure that local communities are considered and protected, thereby promoting social responsibility and reducing the risk of disputes or opposition from those directly impacted.
