Local Traffic or ISP Clause Samples

The 'Local Traffic or ISP' clause defines how internet service provider (ISP) or local network traffic is managed and allocated under the agreement. Typically, this clause clarifies whether the service provider is responsible for handling all local network traffic or only traffic that traverses external networks, and may specify any limitations or requirements for local data routing. Its core function is to delineate responsibilities for network management, ensuring both parties understand who is accountable for local versus external traffic, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring efficient network operation.
Local Traffic or ISP. Bound Traffic that originates with a third Telecommunications Carrier and is handed off by AT&T to Verizon pursuant to Section 6(a) above, as well as Local Traffic or ISP-Bound Traffic that Verizon hands off to AT&T for delivery to a third Telecommunications Carrier, in each case other than such traffic that is not routed through such Telecommunications Carrier’s own switch, shall not be included in the calculation of the Aggregated Traffic Ratio in Section 3(a) above.
