Common use of Long-Range Forecasts Clause in Contracts

Long-Range Forecasts. For PacifiCorp's planning purposes, Seller shall, by December 1 of each year during the Term (except for the last year of the Term), provide an annual update to the expected long-term monthly/diurnal mean net energy and net capacity factor estimates (12 X 24 profile). Seller shall prepare such forecasts by utilizing a wind speed and direction prediction model or service that is satisfactory to PacifiCorp in the exercise of its reasonable discretion and comparable in accuracy to models or services commonly used in the wind energy industry and that reflect turbine availability. The forecasts provided by Seller must comply with all applicable Electric System Authority tariff procedures, protocols, rules and testing as necessary and as may be modified from time to time.
