Main Duties. To contribute to the service development of the Pharmacy Digital Health service in association with the Pharmacy Executive and Senior Leadership Teams • The development and maintenance of the Pharmacy Digital Health systems such as the electronic medication management system (Cerner), pharmacy dispensing systems (iPharmacy), infusion pump software (Alaris Smart Pumps) and automated dispensing cabinets (Omnicell) • Work in conjunction with the Information Development Division (IDD) to implementing an enterprise wide Electronic Medical Record and achieve HIMSS Level 6 EMR Adoption accreditation • Act as a liaison between clinical end-users, IDD, and external consultants and suppliers in the analysis, design and configuration, testing and maintenance of new and interfaced clinical systems to ensure optimal operational performance • Help to prepare and report on financial initiatives to procurement, medicines handling, formulary management and drug use • Actively contribute to various drug utilisation and medication evaluation programs • Coordinate and help prepare monthly key performance indicator summaries for all areas of responsibility and report to Pharmacy – Digital Health Lead Pharmacist or Deputy Director of Pharmacy - Chief Pharmacy Information Officer • Where appropriate, contributing to the clinical pharmacy service at ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Health as a clinical pharmacist • To provide specialist input to contribute to the successful implementation of Digital Health strategies within clinical areas such as integration and new informatics systems deployment • Co-ordinate troubleshooting advice and problem solving of issues related to the Cerner electronic medication management system. This includes but is not limited to the monitoring of Digital Health platforms such as Yammer, HEAT and the generic Pharmacy Digital Health email • To manage and implement the Digital Health requirements of the pharmacy department in accordance with ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Health Medicines Management and Information Technology (IT) strategies. • Participate in on-call for Pharmacy Digital Health team where required • To assist in the planning, development, build and maintenance of electronic medicines management strategies and programmes for Pharmacy and the wider organisation. • In conjunction with the Pharmacy – Digital Health Lead Pharmacist to regularly participate in ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Digital Health meetings to ensure the department’s overall strategic initiatives/programs are met • Conduct effective Problem Management and analysis skills to identify root-cause to end-user problems and in conjunction with clinicians, IDD and vendor staff, develop solutions that prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, to eliminate recurring incidents, and to minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented • Participate in the development of application test plans, and participate in user acceptance testing of new system functionality and clinical workflows • Analyse and model the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Health clinical domain to create a complete picture of current and proposed clinical and business pharmacy work-flows/pathways including reference to technical requirements • Identify opportunities for implementation of new Digital Health strategies eg system integration with internal and external parties, to provide evaluation and analysis of existing • Develop and evaluate innovative approaches to communications and delivery of the Digital Health service within Pharmacy. • Assist the Pharmacy Infrastructure team to coordinate trouble shooting for pharmacy software and hardware issues • Develop a basic knowledge of reporting, system operations, and interface usage • Other clinical analysis tasks as may be required • To work with the hospital Digital Health services and other external vendors to ensure that issues within the scope and capacity of Pharmacy systems are identified, logged, and resolved.
