Maintenance of Materials Clause Samples

The Maintenance of Materials clause establishes the responsibility for keeping materials in good condition throughout a project or contractual period. Typically, it requires the party in possession of materials—such as a contractor or supplier—to ensure that all items are properly stored, protected from damage, and maintained according to specified standards until they are used or handed over. This clause helps prevent loss, deterioration, or misuse of materials, thereby safeguarding the quality and value of resources essential to the contract’s successful completion.
