Maintenance Workers. 1.3.1 This agreement shall apply to those Employees employed in one of the classifications set out at Appendix A (Boiler Staff, Plumbers, Building Trades Staff, Engineers, Building Compliance Officers, Labourers, Scaffolders and Trades Assistants) and to Grounds Staff (Gardeners’ Assistants, Gardener or Foreperson) who are members of the TEU or E tū. 1.3.2 Nothing in this agreement shall apply to a student who is currently enrolled at the University of Canterbury as a casual or temporary Employee working in facility services, provided that (i) the work carried out by such student shall be unskilled work and shall not include areas of work that are core roles of continuing maintenance workers; and (ii) such students shall not be used to affect the employment of continuing staff or the work carried out by continuing staff.
