Common use of Mandate of the Committee Clause in Contracts

Mandate of the Committee. (a) Develop and identify categories for Contracting Out grievances to be utilized in the new said process. (b) To analyze all the grievances in the system on Contracting Out and where possible, group the grievances into these categories. (c) The goal is to develop an expedited process in arbitration with real meaning to deal with each category separately. The process should be such that each grievance maintains its own identity and the arbitration award will include a separate ruling for each situation. (d) Both parties agree that the new expedited system will include a mechanism to flag problem categories, which will automatically trigger an investigation to identify the root of the problem and where possible eliminate that source problem.
