Margin Rules Clause Samples
The Margin Rules clause sets out the requirements for parties to post and maintain collateral, known as margin, to secure their obligations under a contract. It typically details the types of acceptable collateral, the calculation of margin amounts, and the procedures for margin calls and transfers. By establishing clear guidelines for collateralization, this clause helps mitigate credit risk and ensures that both parties have adequate financial protection in the event of default or market fluctuations.
