Common use of Market Supplements Clause in Contracts

Market Supplements. 2.3.1 You have been placed in the new grading structure based on the evaluated score for your job. At certain times some types of jobs are very scarce either because of national shortages or high demand for certain skills. The consequence of this is recruitment and retention problems in the service. In these circumstances market supplements can be paid in order to attract good candidates. 2.3.2 Market supplements will be shown separately in the Contract of Employment and be subject to an annual review by Governance Management Team. Market supplements will be increased by the percentage increase agreed through the national pay award. 2.3.3 The full criteria for payment of market supplements are set out in the Recruitment and Retention (Market Supplements) Procedure, which can be found on the Intranet (▇▇▇▇).
