Master Task Order. A contract for the performance of services On Call or Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) under task or work orders issued on an as-needed or on-call basis, for an established contract period. The solicitation and contract provisions shall: Specify a reasonable maximum length of contract period, including the number and period of any allowable contract extensions. Specify a maximum total contract dollar amount which may be awarded under contract; Include a statement of work, requirements, specifications, or other description to define the general scope, complexity, and professional nature of the services. Individual task orders or work orders shall be assigned to the Master Task Order. Once assigned, the LPA should negotiate with the consultant according to Section 5-5.06(c). If negotiations are unsuccessful, the LPA may use a different Master Task Order or may follow the Qualifications Based Selection (QBS) procedures for selecting a different consultant.
