Master’s Sample Clauses

The "Masters" clause defines the rights and responsibilities related to the original recordings, or master recordings, of a piece of music. Typically, this clause specifies who owns the masters, who can exploit them commercially, and under what terms such exploitation can occur, such as licensing for use in films or streaming platforms. By clearly allocating ownership and control over the master recordings, this clause ensures that all parties understand who benefits from the commercial use of the music and helps prevent future disputes over rights and revenue.
