Maximum Accrual & Carryover. Employees may accrue and carry forward a maximum of 240 hours vacation on the last pay period of any calendar year. Unused vacation in excess of 240 hours shall be forfeited with the following exceptions: an employee whose timely vacation request is denied due to the County’s needs, shall be allowed to carry over vacation in excess of the 240 maximum for up to twelve months.
