Common use of Maximum Reimbursement Clause in Contracts

Maximum Reimbursement. Employees may be eligible for a maximum reimbursement of $2,000 (two thousand dollars) per calendar year. The maximum reimburse- ment of $2,000 is counted against the year the course(s) was com- pleted. Specifically, if a course begins in one year, and is completed during the next year, the tuition reimbursement is counted against the year the course was completed. Employees are responsible for claiming tuition aid in accordance with the Income Tax Act. Currently, tuition reimbursement provided for in this policy is not considered a taxable benefit by the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.
