Common use of MBE/WBE Clause in Contracts

MBE/WBE. The City has an interest in and policy of encouraging the equitable utilization of Minority-Owned Businesses (MBEs) and Women-Owned Businesses (WBEs). Article 5, Subtitle 28 of the Baltimore City Code (the “City Code”) is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. In identifying available City-certified MBEs and WBEs, the Grantee is encouraged to use the MBE/WBE Directory available from the Mayor’s Office of Small and Minority Business Advocacy & Development, (▇▇▇) ▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇. A signed copy of the Grantee’s Commitment to Comply or Waiver, as applicable, is attached hereto as Exhibit E and incorporated herein.
