Measurement of and Payment for Earthworks Sample Clauses

The 'Measurement of and Payment for Earthworks' clause defines how the quantities of earthworks performed on a construction project are measured and how contractors are compensated for this work. Typically, this clause outlines the methods for quantifying excavation, filling, and grading, specifying whether measurements are based on actual site conditions or design drawings, and detailing the units and rates for payment. By establishing clear procedures for measurement and payment, the clause ensures transparency and fairness in compensating contractors, reducing disputes over quantities and costs.
