Common use of Mechanical strength Clause in Contracts

Mechanical strength. The isolating switches shall be capable for withstanding the rated mechanical terminal loads and electromagnetic forces, without effecting the operation and current carrying properties. The switches, complete with the operating mechanism should not come out of their own in closed position due to the effect of gravity, wind pressure, vibrations and reasonable shocks.
