Common use of Meeting with Union Clause in Contracts

Meeting with Union. Within three (3) working days of management notice to the Union of an impending layoff, the Employer shall meet with the Union and discuss the impact of the layoff on the affected employee(s). This discussion shall include, but shall not be limited to the following: 1. Availability of similar positions within the University. 2. Availability of training or retraining programs which may be applicable to the affected employees. 3. In reviewing these placement possibilities, every effort will be made to seek matches of worker skills and qualifications with available comparable positions.
