Common use of Merchant Identification Number Clause in Contracts

Merchant Identification Number. You are responsible for ensuring that your Merchant Identification Number (“MID”) is kept confidential. When a change to your Settlement Account is required, you must disclose your MID to the NPC representative as confirmation that the person requesting the change has authority to do so. If the person requesting the change discloses the proper MID, NPC or Bank shall assume that person has the proper authority to make the change. You shall be fully liable for any changes to your Settlement Account after disclosure of the MID. NPC or Bank may request from you additional information to further verify your identity.
