Middle School Level the focus is on application of fundamental motor skills and improving the balance of activities to retain interest of all students.
Middle School Level. In the staffing of the middle school, the ability of the educator to assist middle school students in the attainment of those skills and understandings will be a factor considered in the granting of a transfer request. Teachers with 7-8 all subjects certification shall have a minimum of sixteen (16) semester hours in the subject area(s) in which they teach. Teachers with K-8 all subjects certification shall have a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours in the subject area(s) in which they teach.
Middle School Level a. Effective July 1, 2002, the regular work day for all teachers shall not exceed seven hours (7) and sixteen (16) minutes. The six (6) minutes added to the middle school work day as of July 1, 2002 shall be used as additional non- instructional student contact time (three (3) minutes before school and three (3) minutes after school). b. From time to time throughout the work year, the duties of middle school counselors may require that some or all of the school counselors work later into the afternoon, and/or into the evening, past the times that their regular work days normally end. School counselors shall work these later schedules as directed by the Principal or his/her designee. When any middle School Counselor is directed to work one of these later schedules it shall be at the School Counselor’s discretion to either: i) adjust his/her starting time for the day so that working to the completion of the later schedule for the day does not result in the School Counselor working longer than the work day defined for middle school teachers in Article 21(A)(2)(a); or ii) start and end his/her work day that day at his/her regular times, attend the later event/perform the later work that day as directed by the Principal or his/her designee, and be paid the School Counselor evening flex rate ($40.39 for 15-16, $41.40 for 16-17 and $41.40 for 17-18) for all time worked in excess of the work day defined for middle school teachers in Article 21(A)(2)(a). Middle School Counselors shall not be entitled to additional compensation for working late pursuant to option (i) above.
Middle School Level. One period per day; one period shall equal one regular student period, excluding team planning time of one period.
Middle School Level a. All middle school teachers, as defined in A.2 above, shall have a teaching load not to exceed thirty instructional periods over five (5) days. However, teachers may be assigned no more than four (4) consecutive instructional periods in a b. All middle school teachers shall have a daily duty assignment not to exceed one (1) period. c. A team meeting period shall include, but not be limited to, discussion of student performance and needs team planning, parent conferencing, cross-curricular planning, staff conferencing and student conferencing.
Middle School Level. Middle school teachers shall be compensated at the current hourly rate per period for internal substitute service. The term “internal substitute service” at the middle school level is defined as substitute service during one’s prep period or “doubling up” a class. If a substitute is not available, unit members will be asked to volunteer to provide substitute coverage. In the event there are no volunteers, a teacher may be assigned to provide coverage for that period or day in an equitable rotation.
Middle School Level. 1535 Unit members at the middle school who serve as substitutes shall 1536 be compensated at the hourly rate for each period that they serve as 1537 a substitute.

  • STATEWIDE ACHIEVEMENT TESTING When CONTRACTOR is a NPS, per implementation of Senate Bill 484, CONTRACTOR shall administer all Statewide assessments within the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (“CAASPP”), Desired Results Developmental Profile (“DRDP”), California Alternative Assessment (“CAA”), achievement and abilities tests (using LEA-authorized assessment instruments), the Fitness Gram, , the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (“ELPAC”), and as appropriate to the student, and mandated by LEA pursuant to LEA and state and federal guidelines. CONTRACTOR is subject to the alternative accountability system developed pursuant to Education Code section 52052, in the same manner as public schools. Each LEA student placed with CONTRACTOR by the LEA shall be tested by qualified staff of CONTRACTOR in accordance with that accountability program. ▇▇▇ shall provide test administration training to CONTRACTOR’S qualified staff. CONTRACTOR shall attend LEA test training and comply with completion of all coding requirements as required by ▇▇▇.

  • School Year Teacher assignable time will be capped at 1200 hours per school year.

  • School Day A. The length of the school day shall be seven (7) hours and five (5) minutes inclusive of the arrival and departure time. B. The reporting time for elementary school and K-8 school teachers shall be fifteen (15) minutes prior to the time designated as the official homeroom period. The reporting time for high school and middle school teachers shall be ten (10) minutes prior to the time designated as the official homeroom period. In the event there is no homeroom period during the instructional day or there is no homeroom period, reporting time for elementary school and K-8 school teachers shall be fifteen (15) minutes prior to the beginning of the student instructional day and ten minutes for high school and middle school teachers. Leaving time shall be upon the completion of the teacher’s responsibility but in no event less than ten (10) minutes for elementary school and K-8 school teachers and no less than five (5) minutes for high school and middle school teachers after the conclusion of the instructional day. C. It is further agreed that the teacher will provide extra time either within or outside of the teacher’s school day for the benefit of the needs of his students as shall be determined by the teacher. D. For the purposes of leaves (i.e., sick, personal) a half-day of leave time shall be defined as three (3) hours and thirty-two (32) minutes minimum, from the start of or prior to the end of the work day. E. A joint committee composed of three (3) members appointed by the Board and three (3) members appointed by the Union shall meet within 30 days of the date of the ratification of this Agreement to address the additional salary payable to members of the bargaining unit for work performed beyond the 7 hour and 5 minute duty day and/or beyond the 190 duty day school year at every Charter, Transformation, Innovation, New Schools Initiative, Turnaround School, Restart or any other newly created school that operates with an extended school day and/or extended school year. A specific Memorandum of Understanding for each such school shall be created negotiated no later than August 15, 2013 for the terms of this Agreement of each school year.
