Minimum Collateral Amount Sample Clauses

The Minimum Collateral Amount clause sets a threshold for the lowest value of collateral that must be maintained in a secured transaction or agreement. In practice, this means that if the value of posted collateral falls below this specified minimum, the party required to provide collateral must promptly deliver additional assets to restore the required level. For example, in a derivatives contract, this clause ensures that the counterparty always holds enough collateral to cover potential exposures. Its core function is to reduce credit risk by ensuring that sufficient collateral is always available to protect against default or market fluctuations.
