Common use of MINIMUM WAGES ACT Clause in Contracts

MINIMUM WAGES ACT. The Contractor / Bidder shall pay to his employees not less than the minimum wages and allowances applicable to the Engineering Industry as notified from time to time by the Central Government or the State Government whichever is higher under the Minimum Wages Act. Contractor / ▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be responsible for timely payment of wages of all his employees engaged in the Purchaser’s Yard, not less than the prescribed minimum wages in each case and without any deductions of any kind, except as specified by Government or permissible under the Payment of Wages Act. The Contractor / Bidder must settle all the pending dues of the employees i.e. arrears of wages, proportionate leave wages, proportionate bonus payment, etc. Before winding up the site, the Contractor / Bidder shall pay all terminal dues to his employees such as Notice pay, Gratuity, Retrenchment compensation, etc.
