Common use of Modification etc. of Statutes Clause in Contracts

Modification etc. of Statutes. Except to the extent that any statutory provision made or enacted after the date of this Agreement would create or increase any liability of any party under this Agreement, any reference to a statutory provision: 1.4.1 shall include such provision as from time to time modified or re-enacted or consolidated whether before or after the date of this Agreement so far as such modification, re-enactment or consolidation applies or is capable of applying to any transactions entered into under this Agreement on or prior to Completion; and 1.4.2 (so far as liability thereunder may exist or can arise) shall include also any past statutory provision (as from time to time modified, re-enacted or consolidated) which such provision has directly or indirectly replaced.
