Common use of Modifications and Derivative Works Clause in Contracts

Modifications and Derivative Works. You may not make any changes, translations, enhancements, or modifications to, or create any derivative works from, the Software or any portion of the Software without the prior written permission of Avigilon (except as provided in Section 20 of this Agreement with respect to ‘open source’ software). Any attempt to create any derivative works from the Software or any portion of the Software without the prior written permission of Avigilon (except as provided in Section 20 of this Agreement with respect to ‘open source’ software) shall result in the immediate termination of this Agreement.
