Monitoring Progress, Quality and Compliance with Contract Requirements. The CONSULTANT will perform site inspections at critical stages of construction to become generally familiar with progress and quality of completed Work to determine if in general the Work is performed in accordance with the Contract Documents. The CONSULTANT will have authority to reject work which does not comply with the Contract Documents. Wherever considered necessary, the CONSULTANT may require additional inspection or testing of the Work whether the Work is fabricated, installed or completed. The CONSULTANT will not have control over or charge of and will not be responsible for construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures, or for safety precautions and programs in connection with the Work, since these are solely the CONTRACTOR's responsibility. The CONSULTANT will not be responsible for the CONTRACTOR's failure to carry out the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The CONSULTANT will not have control over or charge of and will not be responsible for acts or omissions of the CONTRACTOR, Subcontractors, or their agents or employees, or of any other persons performing portions of the Work. Actions of the CONSULTANT undertaken while providing administration of the Contract shall not be construed as either supervision or coordination, since these are solely the CONTRACTOR's responsibility.
