Common use of Monitors Clause in Contracts

Monitors. It is agreed and understood that the following shall be implemented: a) Any employee required to work on VDT/CRT's monitors will be required to have an eye examination immediately prior to commencing work on the unit and once a year thereafter as long as they continue to be required to work on VDT/CRT's monitors. This examination will establish the actual state of health of the eye. b) The Employer will pay any additional cost in excess of that normally paid for by O.H.I.P. and any other medical coverage towards which the Employer contributes part or all of the premium cost. Payment will be conditional upon the employee signing a medical release so that a copy of the eye examination report can be provided to the Employer. c) For employees working on VDT/CRT's monitors, the Employer agrees to pay for any special eyeglasses (contact lenses if medically required and eyeglasses cannot be worn) required by these employees in order to work on VDT/CRT's monitors.
