Common use of Monthly Allowances Clause in Contracts

Monthly Allowances. In view of the intermittent character of the work of certain Signal Technicians, Signal Assistant Signal Apprentices and Helpers, and in lieu of any overtime pay which they may earn except as provided below, they shall be allowed hours per period comprised of hours at straight time and hours at time and one-half. If required to work in excess of hours per period, such hours shall be paid for as follows: Actual overtime hours worked in excess of hours will be accumulated over a period. If these overtime hours worked exceed (comprised of hours x four week periods) such additional hours worked in excess of will be paid for at the rate of time and one-half at the conclusion of the twelve week period.
