MORE THAN ONE LESSEE Clause Samples

The "More Than One Lessee" clause defines the rights and responsibilities of each lessee when a lease is held by multiple parties. Typically, this clause states that all lessees are jointly and severally liable for fulfilling the obligations under the lease, such as paying rent or maintaining the property. This means that the landlord can seek full performance or payment from any one lessee if the others fail to comply. The core function of this clause is to ensure that the landlord has recourse against all lessees collectively or individually, thereby reducing the risk of non-payment or non-performance.
