N-1 Query Clause Samples

N-1 Query. 1.7.1 For purposes of this Agreement, the Parties agree to fulfill their N-1 carrier responsibilities and perform queries on calls to telephone numbers with portable NXXs. Neither Party shall send un-queried calls to the other Party. 1.7.2 If a Party does not fulfill its N-1carrier responsibility, the other Party may perform queries on calls to telephone numbers with portable NXXs received from the N-1 carrier and route the call to the appropriate switch or network in which the telephone number resides. An N-1 carrier shall be responsible for payment of charges to the other Party for any queries, routing, and transport functions made on its behalf, including any reciprocal compensation assessed by the terminating carrier or transit charges assessed by a tandem provider.
N-1 Query. 6.5.1. Each Party is responsible for performing its N-1 query obligations. It is within the discretion of each Party as to whether it will perform N-1 queries on misdirected calls.
N-1 Query. Neither Party offers default query service so non-queried calls will be returned to the N-1 carrier.

N-1 Query. The Parties recognize that some of the traffic to be exchanged under this Agreement may be destined for telephone numbers that have been subsequently ported. In such cases, when more than one carrier is involved in completing the call, the N-1 carrier has the responsibility to determine if a query is required, to launch the query, and to route the call to the appropriate switch or network in which the telephone number resides.
