Negotiation Process. 7.1 Negotiations will be conducted at the Main Table and the Chief Negotiators wil be responsible for the conduct and coordination of negotiations and address the following matters: 7.1.1 manage the negotiation process including the development of workplans and the setting of priorities; 7.1.2 establish working groups, side tables, and other processes, as agreed; and, 7.1.3 implement the "Procedural Protocol For Taku River Tlingit Treaty Negotiations". 7.2 Where negotiation of a subject listed in 5.1 results in agreement, the Chief Negotiators will record it in a Chapter of the Agreement-in-Principle. The Chief Negotiators will indicate their agreement on the subject by initialling the Chapter. 7.3 The Chapters of the Agreement-in-Principle which have been initialled may, by the agreement of the Chief Negotiators, be reconsidered or amended prior to the signing of the Agreement-in-Principle. 7.4 Once the Chief Negotiators have initialled all of the Chapters, they will take the necessary steps to complete a draft Agreement-in-Principle by consolidating the Chapters. 7.5 The Chief Negotiators will signify their agreement to the Agreement-in-Principle by initialling it, and they will recommend it to their respective Parties for approval. 7.6 The Parties will approve the Agreement-in-Principle by signing lt. 7.7 After the signing of the Agreement-in-Principle, the Parties will negotiate with the intention of concluding a Final Agreement based on the Agreement-in-Principle.

Implementing detailed procedures, consistent with this Agreement, to guide the Parties during the Agreement-in-Principle which have been initialled mayand Final Agreement negotiations as outlined in a document entitled "Procedures Agreement for YFN Treaty Negotiations"; and f. Implementing dispute resolution mechanisms, by the agreement of the Chief Negotiators, be reconsidered or amended prior pursuant to the signing of the Agreement-in-PrincipleSection 14.1. 7.4 Once 6.3 The Parties will record the results of each negotiation of a substantive issue in a Sub- Agreement. The Chief Negotiators will signify their agreement on a substantive issue by initialling a Sub-Agreement. 6.4 Once they have initialled all of the ChaptersSub-Agreements, they the Chief Negotiators will take the necessary steps to complete a draft negotiate an Agreement-in-Principle by consolidating the ChaptersSub-Agreements and adding necessary provisions as agreed. 7.5 6.5 The Parties: a. agree that some issues listed in Section 5.1 may require resolution on a regional basis; b. agree that some issues listed in Section 5.1 may require consideration on a province- wide basis for all treaties to be negotiated in the Province of British Columbia; c. will determine what issues in Section 5.1 may be best dealt with on a regional basis or on a provincial basis; and d. will develop a process for dealing with those issues on a regional or provincial basis as agreed. 6.6 The Chief Negotiators will signify their agreement to the on an Agreement-in-Principle by initialling it, and they will recommend it the completed Agreement-in-Principle to their respective Parties for approval. 7.6 6.7 Any Chief Negotiator may request that any initialled Sub-Agreement be reconsidered or amended. 6.8 The Parties will approve the Agreement-in-Principle by signing ltit. 7.7 6.9 After the signing of the Agreement-in-Principle, the Parties will negotiate with the intention of concluding a Final Agreement based on the Agreement-in-Principle.
