New Bargaining Unit Employees Clause Samples
The "New Bargaining Unit Employees" clause defines how employees who are newly added to a bargaining unit are treated under a collective agreement. Typically, this clause outlines the process for integrating these employees, such as when they become subject to union dues, seniority accrual, or other contractual rights and obligations. For example, it may specify that new hires or employees transferred into the unit are covered by the agreement from their first day of employment in the unit. The core function of this clause is to ensure a clear and consistent approach to the inclusion of new employees, preventing disputes over their status and ensuring they receive the same protections and responsibilities as existing bargaining unit members.
