Nonhighly Compensated Employee Group Sample Clauses

The Nonhighly Compensated Employee Group clause defines a category of employees who do not meet the criteria for being considered highly compensated under applicable regulations, such as those set by the IRS. This group typically includes employees whose annual compensation falls below a specified threshold, and the classification is often used in the context of employee benefit plans, like 401(k)s, to ensure compliance with nondiscrimination requirements. By clearly identifying which employees are nonhighly compensated, the clause helps employers structure benefit plans fairly and in accordance with legal standards, thereby preventing discrimination in favor of higher-paid employees.
