Nonsupplanting Sample Clauses

The Nonsupplanting clause ensures that funds or resources provided under an agreement are used to supplement, rather than replace, existing funding or resources. In practice, this means that recipients cannot use the new funds to cover costs that were previously paid for with other sources, such as state or local budgets; instead, the new funds must be used to expand or enhance services. This clause is essential for preventing the diversion of funds and ensuring that the intended financial support leads to an actual increase in resources or services, rather than simply offsetting existing expenditures.
