Common use of Not a Bailment Clause in Contracts

Not a Bailment. This Agreement is for the rental of the Cube(s) and storage space for each Cube. Occupant understands and agrees that this Agreement is not intended to, nor actually does, create a bailment. Company exercises neither care, custody, nor control over ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’s stored property, except that Company may exercise such control as is necessary to enforce any and all liens, which may attach to such stored property in favor of Company, including without limitation any lien described in the California Self-Service Storage Facility Act.
