NOTES FOR GUIDANCE. Incumbents working with an Associate or Assistant, or Part Time Minister who holds a licence (rather than permission to officiate) from the ▇▇▇▇▇▇, are required to draw up a working agreement. Working agreements are intended to establish: how incumbents will share ministerial responsibility with their colleague and other members of the local ministry teams; how Associate/Assistant/ clergy may exercise their particular ministerial skills; the Associate/Assistant/’s working pattern, taking into account the amount of time being offered, in the light of personal, family or work circumstances. This information will also form part of the Statement of Particulars issued under the Common Tenure arrangements. Working agreements aim to provide a covenanted framework that is open and negotiated, so as to give confidence and clarity about the boundaries within which incumbents and colleagues may find the freedom to explore, value and develop their ministries together. Working agreements are to be reviewed regularly to take account of changing situations, personal circumstances and developing experience. They will also contribute into the Ministerial Review process. Since some Non Stipendiary clergy may be deployed at some distance from their homes, the consequences of this need to be taken into account.
