Common use of Notice of Closure Clause in Contracts

Notice of Closure. ‌ (a) The Employer agrees to give sixty (60) days written notice of the Co-op closing or any department thereof, to the Union and to the employees affected by the closure. In the event the Employer does not give notice as described herein, the Employer agrees to pay all employees in lieu of notice. (b) The Employer further agrees to provide employees with a first option to buy the business in case of a closure.
