Common use of Notice of Intent to Terminate Clause in Contracts

Notice of Intent to Terminate. The City may choose at some future time to provide law enforcement services other than through the MCSO. Similarly, the MCSO may choose at some future time not to provide law enforcement services to the City. If either party wishes to terminate this agreement, they shall provide the other party with a 45-day written notice of intent to terminate the Agreement. Upon receipt of the written notice of intent, the City Administrator, the Sheriff, and the Chair of the County Board of Commissioners or the Chair's designee shall hold a meeting, the purpose of which will be to understand the notice of intent including background of the reasons(s), and a review of alternatives and impacts, among other matters.
