Notice of Unsafe Atmosphere. This notice shall be prepared on-site when a hazardous condition is detected and immediately after all notifications required above have been completed. The notice shall specify the type(s) and concentration(s) of gas(es) detected, the nature of the gas hazard and the location where, and the time when the hazard has been detected.

  • Central Committee on Violence in the Workplace The Central parties agree to create a Central Committee to review and develop best practice recommendations related to Violence in the Workplace. The Committee will take into consideration recent provincial reports related to violence in the workplace issues. The best practice recommendations will be distributed to the Joint Health and Safety Committees at each individual Home to be recommended for implementation. The best practice recommendations will include but will not be limited to: Review/modify: the processes, procedures, measures and follow through on:

  • Rectification of Safety Hazard (a) Where, because of the existence of a safety hazard, a site has been stopped for a defined period of time and Employees sent off site by agreement between Site Managers and any combination of Union Official/s, Health and Safety Committee, those people who remain on site to do rectification work will be paid at the rate of double time for all such work. (b) This would not be applicable on normal de watering (see clause 32.6 hereof) or normal housekeeping work or where a section of the site has been declared unsafe and normal rectification occurs whilst the remainder of the site carries on working. It is agreed that any ‘housekeeping’ work performed on Projects is to be paid at single time rate.
