Notice Time Lines. In the event that a decision is made not to renew the appointment of a faculty member employed on a probationary contract, the faculty member shall be notified in writing that such a determination has been made on or before April 1, of the contract year. The reasons which underlie the determination of nonrenewal shall be provided to the faculty member in writing. Nonrenewal of probationary contracts shall not be used for the exclusive purpose of reduction in force except for temporary faculty as per Section E.
