Common use of Notification of Appointment Clause in Contracts

Notification of Appointment. ‌ (a) The academic unit will confirm appointments wherever possible at least three (3) months prior to commencement of the academic term. Where confirmation three (3) months prior is not possible, the administrator will advise the Union of the reason(s). (b) Appointment confirmations will include standard information such as the appointment start and end dates, position title, course title(s) and number(s), unit allocation(s), and hyperlinks to the CUPE 4163, Component 3 collective agreement and applicable salary schedule.
